It seems that raven pilots no longer need to fit warp scramblers to their ships. Yesterday during a fleet engagement I was engaging multiple targets approx 120-130km away from the gate.A raven using javelin bane torpedos fired 2 volleys on me or more. The first volley and other bs fire took my ship down to hull and the second finished me off.The whole time these missiles were hitting me i was engaged to warp having started to warp from an aligned postion but not at max speed prior to the first volley of torpedos hitting me. Upon contact my speed was reduce from 100m/s to around 24m/s and there was not enough time to get speed back up to warp out. I find this rather disturbing as I do not recall ever having lost a bs at such long range before and certainly not to a torpedo raven. Whenever posts are made about the overpowerment of torpedo ravens the usual suspects make long whining posts about how torps can only hit at very limited ranges and thus can justify their extreme damage since they only hit close range.Well this latest experience shows them to be wrong. What is the point of flying turret battleships when torpedo ravens can hit for full damage at 150km and knock u out of warp into the bargain? Where is the turret battleship that does the same damage at 150km as it does at 40km? This is bull**** CCP sort it the **** out.

Yes all have a good laugh.Only to be expected. But nevertheless i was bumped out of warp by these torpedos and it wasnt funny for me.I lost a full set of 425 tech 2 rails which arent cheap. Its annoying niggles like this which spoil the game for many and they deserve either to be sorted out or posted about on patch notes so that all players can have access to the correct info about the game.

Mate think before u post.My speed was almost at warp around 100m/s in a megathron without any speed boosters.AFter torpedos hit me the first time my speed fell back to 24m/s.How do u explain this? No other ship was closer than 100km to me at the time also. And cloaked ships can neither bump u nor lock u without decloaking.

Edited by: Ginger Magician on 11/08/2006 16:54:19 U can see your speed on the speedometer it only says warping when u reach warp speed. And Sprungle is my apprentice not my alt.And yes I have suffered a few losses lately but I have also killed a lot too.C'est la vie. U can ask The Imperial Commonwealth about those kills btw. They took rather a lot of em

Sucky tracking makes a hell of difference my friend. The damage will be considerably reduced compared to what u would normally do at close range u can be sure of that. And bad tracking makes small ships almost impossible to hit unless they are stationary. I think that what happened to me may have been due to lag. There was a fair number of ships in this encounter and also fighter drones and there was lag. The problem is that lag is never taken into account in server logs or petitions. All that happens is that they say "the logs accurately reflect waht happened in this combat" but we all know that logs dont show lag so what? Over the years i have lost a fair number of bs to lag and one pod so its been quite a painful experince for me.Carebears who only engage in combat once in a blue mooon can never understand what pvpers have to go through in this game.

LOL.A lot of love in this thread
This one must be close to the record. Well life goes on and I am not gonna bother petitioning this loss cause I never get anytbing back when it comes to combat. Possibly it was just lag/bug or soemthing but there is no doubt that my speed dropped back for some unknown reason and I was neither scrambled nor webbed and at least 20-30seconds elapsed between iniating warp and the destruction of my fine mega.I guess it goes down as one of those unexplsined losses. Anyway Kills 7000 LOsses maybe 200 Not bad for a warp core *****. GM out./o
